The Auspiciousness of Affirmations

"abracadabra" - from the Aramaic phrase "avra kehdabra", which literally means: "I will create as I speak."

Get radiantly alive with affirmations. Regardless of ploughing through the motions of daily life, there is still always an opportunity to connect with your truest Self: past, present and future. Our truest internal Self has the infinite power to pull the puppet strings of our life to manipulate it exactly how we want to see it all unfold.

Doubt it? Well one of the strongest ways we can influence our mind is through affirmation and suggestion. Medical professionals call this the placebo effect, and placebo testing is used pervasively across all medical boards today because of how powerful the mind is.

In Yogic philosophy, you become what you think: You create your own reality from the inside. That's why we can spiral into the vortexes of upset ourselves simply by having a worst-case scenario mentality, when really, did it, whatever it was, really turn out to be that bad? You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it and thankfully conversely, we can use affirmations to reward our brain into thinking positively. Let's not waste time, but be here now. Don't just set goals, plan them and don't just accept the past, gracefully forgive it. Here are 10 affirmations to inspire your morning meditation or mirror mantra practice:

I am beautiful, I am fierce and I am worthy.

If you don't go within, you go with out.

Everyday in every way, I get better and better.

I am loved, supported and protected in everything that I do.

I love you. I forgive you. I release you.

Inhale love, exhale fear.

I am enough.

It's not rejection, it's redirection.

Choose a different thought to think.

I believe in myself and my ability to succeed.
